              Cheers guys.

Andycos , wasn't on the rolling road. have passengers to prove The cambelt cover is off a early big turbo escort. its all black, but i touched up the cosworth bit with some touch-up pens to match my rocker cover.

Daz ,limiter is about 6700rpm on mine, was slowing down at the time. Was giving it a bit of Roy. but lost the race never racing a 500bhp sapphire again EVER. made me look stupid.

Iv'e never had the balls to rev mine to the limit like in your pic ( on a private road of course ) but at least i know what the speedo would be reading now, Cheers...

my mate had a sapph 4x4 and it reved out at 150 indicated......yet my dads is a virtually identical car give or take a few mods and it revs to 7k and does just over an indicated 140 in 4th....never had the chance to test it in 5th.....im just trying to weigh ip between my mates and my dads car thats all

Steve the tank on the inner wing is for my intercooler spray. Its just an experiment at the minute. JB Fletch has a similar set-up. that's where i got the idea from.

Daz I have never revved mine out in 5th before. ain't got a clue what it'll go round too. Not much more i shouldn't think.

Well here's me, wonderin if the saff was still available in moonstone when it changed to 4x4, and there you go, ownin one. And a REALLY nice one too. Is it me or have you been to santa pod in it? i could swear the word 'smit' rings a bell. Is/was it on the bottom of ur numberplate? (Im not a stalker, i lust have an eye for all the details.)
And if i'm not wrong, there was a 2.4litre white saff there that day too. that was sweet too, although i'm personally not the hugest fan of white sapphires. anyway, enough of my ramblings, i'm off to turbocharge my car. hopefully.
                          Cheers,
                          Steve

You are correct Steve! That was at Santa Pod RWYB 9th September 2001. That was when i done my best time @ pod which was 12.978 @ 103mph. The White 2.4 Sapphire behind me is owned by a bloke called Mark Godfrey. (Part of the Cambridge crew) You've got a bloody hell of a memory mate! That was over a year ago! Still got 'Smits Cossie' wrote on he bottom, lovin it me.

Where were you then? what car were you in? you weren't in that supra i beat were you?
