Re: Smit on the bottom of Licence plate

Mark Godfrey had a brick thrown at his car the other night and as a result only has one vent in the bonnet and one hole, along with a load of scratches, he not a happy chap.

          Re: Mark Godfrey

Yeah i thought i recognised it. it just caught my eye on the day, as bieng by far the mintest car there. I want one so bad. and no i wasnt drivin that day, i was in my mates 2wd moonstone saff (enigine's goin back in soon!), the one that 'stalled' on the line (his crash switch flicked cos it took off so fast!!) and i wrote 'SLOW' on the rear window of. ironic that. do you remember it?
          Cheers,

            2wd saff @ pod

Think i do rememeber someones cossie having S L O W printed on it. Can't remember it stalling on the line though.I probably was queuing up to run. Haven't been to pod this year and actually run. Think i'm turning into a wimp run my new engine in now so the gearbox is gonna go next i reckon.

we'll have to meet up at pod next year or something and get everyone together off here n have a laugh!

              Re: 2wd saff @ pod

Yeah everyone thought he'd stalled, then he got out, went to the boot, and i thought "crash switch". then he got back in and got a cheer cos he still tried to get over 100mph on the line, even though he rolled about 40meters. Nuttah.
It'd be great to get everyone off here to santa pod on the same day, my advice is early summer, its not as packed!! my mate had 17 (yep, 17) runs in april (i think) this year!
              Cheers,
              Steve

                Re: 2wd saff @ pod

At ford fair Mark was a showman! When he done he 0-60 he pulled up to the line and started burning out. Took off arse end going from side to side as he went up the track everyone loved it. The time was crap was the style which how it done was but superb. To make things better at the end of the sprint area you have to turn round to exit there is a few cones showing you the way back tot he pits. I was positioned right at the end of the track and had a brilliant view, out came the arse end again this time I would describe this in one word AMAZING. Even the track officials and ambulance staff were giving him a round of applause.

                It rocked!

                  Re: 2wd saff @ pod

                  That sounds top notch.
Although i missed it, my mate (also called mark) did a burnout in front of a local police station (honestly) and got away with it. Lucky bleeder, i got pulled over for screechin a tyre pullin away!!
But on a different note, we dropped the bottom end back in his saff on sunday! first time its been in for 6 months!! probly another month to tweek the rest back in, then run it in, then some winter fun! PS: how long/how many miles did u run ur engine in for? He was aimin for 1500-2000 with (almost) no boost, do u reckon thats about right?
                  ta.
                  Cheers,
                  Steve

                      Re: 2wd saff

Hhaha!! How much bhp u runnin? I'm guessin 330-350ish, in all my worldly knowledge (ahem). My mates runnin yellows at first, then he's got some greens to go in, along with the usual (k&n, chip, zorst, 3bar etc) to give around 280-300 bhp. He's not put in new pistons, but new rings/bearings etc and tarted it all up. i think it'll look nice. must put up a piccy asap.
                      Cheers,
                      Steve
