He can provide the spec for those who want to know.
He has been a bit quiet so it should get him posting.

That is exactly what I want my Mk1 Mex to look like.

I'd be very interested in the spec. I'm currently having a 2.1 pinto assembled (well, the parts for it, including a genuine RS2000 sump and alloy bellhousing)...how much was the rollcage?

Re: Mr Hoarder\'s Escort Harrier

Jeff, If you want it to look like my car, can I suggest you first purchase a MK2 Escort !!!!! ">

Seriously though, the Engine spec is : 2.1 Sierra injection bottom end, High torque Burton Cam ( Can't remember the pt. No)
Lightly ported head, standard valves, non-vac aldon distributor, 40 dcoes, K&N's, lightened flywheel, head modified to accept 10mm spark plugs ( adaptors screwed into existing plug holes, this gives a wider choice of plugs, because you can use Escort RS turbo/ Sierra Cosworth plugs etc).Lumenition ignition, 3 piece group 4 exhaust manifold, 2.25 r/h exit exhaust.
I am not 100% sure on the power, it is certainly better than standard, and the torque is phenomenal.

The roll cage cost me £150, because I got it second hand from a mate , he bought it as a safety devices cage and had the extra cross brace and harness bar fitted by Gartrac, then it was powder coated, I think, in all, it cost him about £600.

Lol at the Mk2 bit!

The bit about the plugs is VERY interesting...I used Escort cossie platinium plugs in my old S1 which worked really well, and I'd like to be able to use them again.

I think I'll also look out for a 2nd hand cage...£600 is a bit steep!

Very nice mate, would be tempted to put the Harrier stripes on it though.

Scott,

I have often thought about putting them on, but quite like the plain white.

Where do you get the adaptors for the plug holes?? My turbo'd MKII RS is running pinto plugs - NGK - A7FS plugs, but I think I'd like to try some better plugs - my car is presently running 186bhp (158@wheels) and 218lb ft of torque - quite rapid
