Just ordered some Avon ZZ3 £74.50 + vat, but got to wait till Wednesday before I can get down there and get them fitted.

Its a comany round the corner from me, they are generally pretty cheap. Its amazing how the 205/40 are much cheaper than the 215/40 but they would be too small.

Got the tyres fitted today, looks much better and drives like a different car.

Should be getting the centre caps tomorrow to finish the look off.

The Avon ZZ3 have got a really nice tread pattern too, have to park with my wheels on lock now

You may regret buying Avons quite possibly the worst 'performance' tyre out there at the moment

They've got to be better than WangKangs or whatever there were called, which was the next cheapest.

If I wanted performance tyres I would have got Goodyear F1 or Yokos but nearly double the price.

Its just a 1.8 Zetec for going to and from work.

what else is needed to make it externally a ST170 replica, is it just the lowering, and colour coding of side rub strips, boot chrome bit and door handles?

Don't forget mine is a MK1 and the ST170 is a facelift or MK2 Focus, so it really needs different headlights and bumpers, but I'm not going that far, maybe RS headlights if they turn up cheap

yeah but never say never. i always said i wouldnt get bodykit, ice, suspension etc etc and have ended up doing all of that and more to the point where its now a complete ST24 replica externally apart from the rear drums (which will be binned soon!)
