v nice matey i just been reading an article in auto express
the new STI vs old skool clio sport V6...scooby won hands down .
keep it nice ... and stay clear of iced over lakes
Very nice mate, always like the Scooby's, being an owner can you tell me what the difference is between a standard Impreza trubo (see a lot of biddies driving these), a WRX and a EB22? I know that the EB22 has the wider arches but yours looks like it has as well? What the SP on performance, spec etc?
the 22B is supposed to be the rally bodied version i think with higher perfomance figures aswell (as close to the rally one as you will get that is road legal so i heard) please correct me if i'm wrong:-)
Regarding your questions, these can be best answered by the FAQ on http://www.sidc.co.uk/
In short, the 22b was based on the rally car, and kicked out about 276Bhp and about the same torque wise (in lbs).. a friends 22b is kicking out arround 300Bhp/300lbs torque, and all hes done is put an induction kit and new exhaust on it.
Mine is basically the standard UK, with minor exhaust and filter mods, kicking out 235Bhp and comparible torque. Soon to change though
Mine is also the new model, hence the arches, were as the original shape only had wide wheel base/arches on the 22b and the rally car as standard.
The RB5 was a nice limited edition, but produced standard UK power (220Bhp) unless you put the performance pack on it (245Bhp). RB5 - Richard Burns 5 - to celebrate his peformance in the rally that year (i think).
As for pics of the DEFIs, I'll try and get some up soon.
Just to be an anorak, 22B in hex is 555 (check it on your computer calculator). I don't know if this is coincidence or not, maybe a cunning ploy by Subaru and the sponsor when the 22B first came out.
