I thought it was just me who liked it still. I have about 2 1/2 boxes worth of track. 5 scalextric cars, 3 fly cars and 3 pro slots. Thing is the cars are soooo nice it seems a shame to race them, I do though.
Nice one Guy, when I finally buy my own place I'll be setting up a similar race track. All you need now is a small fridge in the corner to house a few beers and you have an evenings entertainment sorted.
The rear wheels were the front wheels of a Ferrari F40 model I never built It does work (i've removed the contacts for the pictures) It just doesn't go around the corners! I used to put polish on the track and do burnouts
I am moving shortly and my new house if I get it has a huge open loft. This post has sparked off my imagination so I might be after some advice from you experts out there. Can any of you give me an idea on the cost off setting up a reasonable size good layout?????
Nah, long before any of that TOMY wall riding stuff.
Total Control Racing, it's not slots. You are able to change lanes and over take your oponent, there are also Jam cars that act as moving road blocks. It was high maintenance though, you had to strip and rebuild the cars alot and clean the tracks with a two pence piece before you raced. Best bit was you could put jumps anywhere on the track, in fact the last time I saw a set for sale it had developed into a race-chase thing with pit areas, jumps, briddges and allsorts, never seen it since though.
