Top speed photos

Anyone else stupid / mad / crazy / cool enough to have taken some shots of their top speeds? Here's a couple - my bike and my car (a humble Calibra 16v till the Cossie insurance comes down a bit)

All shots done on a private test track honest guv.







Taking the bike pic was a bit , thank fudge for self timers!

Hang on thats a point Margrah now u r flogging the cossie how about doing your bike test? We still need to arrange the Turbosport bike thrash as i couldn`t make the Mayday run for obvious reasons

Carl mate, bikes scare me! Even the Cossie scares me when I havn't driven it for a while and that's slow compared to your Fireblade!

Sharon - As mentiond, twas a private test track honest officer.

Magrah - Bike is an X plate 2000 ZX6 - R Ninja J1, of Kawasaki breeding.

Mr Harker - You bike spotter! As above, bike is indeed my ZX 6 R (hinted at in the signature!)

As for the pie reference... how did you know I'm a fat git? Still when I've dropped back to a svelte 12 stone (from the 13 and rising I currently weigh) and bothered to change into 6th gear I reckon I should be able to scrape 165mph or poss a bit more out of it. In 5th (as in the pic) it pulls easily to 160, but 6th seems to take ages to get there. The shift light is a bit of a nightmare - there you are trying to ride none handed, taking a pic and you bounce off the rev limiter at 14500 rpm and the stupid lights start blinding you. Nightmare. Sean - Who needs hands when you got knees that do the same job? I needed my hands free to take the pic!

So anyone else got any whacky clock shots? I'll try and get one of the Sunny (that will pull an indicated 127mph on a good day (downhill)

And if I crack 165 with the dig cam on board I'll post a piccie of that too.

I wanna see some pics of Cossies off the clock - someone told me they were fast but see no evidence of that here!!!

Not bad 140 from a calibra! I've had two rs turbos flat out one at just below 130 and one at 135!! I also have a 16v calibra at the mo as I am also waiting for my cos! but when I get it back I'll get some pics of the speedo!! Any bets on what a three door 350bhp cossie well do?

Should do 165, thats my bet m8! Standard cossies can do150MPH from the factory.

I've heard so many 160mph in my RST type stories - I wanna see it!

The Calibra does 140 quite easily, but runs out revs. Perhaps a change to 6 speed box and Calibra turbo clocks (160mph) may be helpful.

I once saw a vid clip of Top Secret's 1003 bhp Supra on the A1, that had a Stack type dash showing 194mph at some silly revs (I think it was at 10,800 or similar!)

What's the fastest any of you guys have seen on the clocks? What spec? e.g. Calibra 150 bhp 140 mph, ZX6 R 100 bhp 165 mph etc

Well the Uk record for an RS turbo is 157 MPH, soon to be smashed by CossieClint . I've had my Cossie off the clock, but I was more concerned at looking were i was going than taking pictures of the speedo . Hopefully Turbosport will be running a top speed challenge soon, so pics will be done then

Mark from BSW has has 161mph out of my old cossie I dont know if thats good?

Is that speedo reeding or clocked Sharon, if were talking speedo I have had mine a smidge below 160!

It was a speedo reading and they where going up hill...So it wasnt that bad then?
