For those of you who are not too patient or on dial up.

This is a 14MB JPEG, Photoshop says the original file was 250MB

Yodi the original picture is 9372pixels square which is probably a 4000dpi scan of a 2 and a quarter inch square image - most likely taken on a Hasseblad.

This image is from the Space Imaging website, I have reduced it quite a bit.

            The legend reads

"This one-meter resolution satellite image of Manhattan, New York was collected at 11:43 a.m. EDT on Sept. 12, 2001 by Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite. The image shows an area of white dust and smoke at the location where the 1,350-foot towers of the World Trade Center once stood. Since all aircraft were grounded following the attack on America it's the only high-resolution 'view from above' of the fire and destruction of the twin towers."

Yodi aren't you getting married soon?. Look out for something like this around the photographers neck.

Hasselblad have been the top dog of medium format cameras (albeit a very expensive top dog) for about the past 50 years.

All the photos taken on the Moon by the Apollo astronauts were taken on specially adapted Hasselblads - which where left behind to save weight on the return journey (anorak off!!!)

Rubbsh mate, that conspiracy stuff is bollox, the astronauts had them cameras at home with em for months before the mission to parctise with, there are still shots of there families and holidays that were taken and they are framed and focused perfectly too, the manufacterer was on the telly on the moon mission programme a couple of months ago demonstrating how easy the moon ones are to use.

most of that "we didnt really go to the moon" stuff can be discounted with a little bit of research, dont believe the hype!!!!

I was going to reply to Tony's post but I couldn't work out if he was serious or not .

I do quite like the conspiracy theories surrounding the Moon landings but don't think they are true.

One thing I would say though is having been to Cape Canaveral and seen just how little technology they used (in modern terms) to send those guys to the Moon the astronauts were either very stupid (to get in the rocket) or had massive balls.

I would like to think it was the latter.

Just had a look at that site and it makes you think doesn't it. It all appears to make sence, however, you do have to be so careful about hat you believe from these conspiracy theorys.
