Thought I reconised it, been there a few times with my family.It's a very clean beach.But the whole of Woolacombe is dead after about 5pm.From what I can remember even the chippy use to close then.

First time I've been there for about 12-15 years . As said, it was very quiet there but was a nice relaxing time - all holiday's are a break aren't they??? Some of the photo's show how far up in the hills we were so spent most of our time on site & seeing as though it was one of the cheapy holidays it done the job

looks like a nice place, cheapy holiday dont mean its gonna be crap, different surroundings and nice weather takes the edge of anything thats going on in your life, helps you forget all the shite stuff about the daily grind back home,

The place u stayed at looks like where we stayed,where we stayed was actually called woolacombe bay holiday park.Is that the same as yours?

I stayed at a holiday park near there 20 odd years ago it was right at the top of the hill there was a really steep path running down to a private beach at the back of the site!!

Yes. It was the Holiday Park. Turn off to the right at the big pub, before you drop down into Wollacombe & follow it through for a mile or 2. Makes a change as we usually end up in the Torquay area & used to go to Wollacombe & Croyde Bay as a nipper too....
