I did my 2nd helicopter lesson today.... other than the take off/landing and setting me up for practice moves I had control for about 90% of the time. Therefore not too many photos, but I did get these few....

Just outside....


Outside the main hanger... I even helped get the heli our of here...

I still recomend everyone have a go

Where were you flying from Steve? My Bro was grounded today just before take off because of "inclement weather conditions"

North Bedford - they were getting concerned that the weather was about to get worse - I few at 11am.

Yeah this was about midday from Stapleford ,he had been given the ok about half an hour before so conditions must have been changing rapidly.

lucky git thats what i want to do one day but it cost so much money to do i'm going to do motorised paragliding next year as its flying but really cheap and it all fits in the boot of a car

Its not too expensive, not much more than you have to pay for road tax.

getting your PPL is ok if it only takes 32 hours getting a helicopter licence is mega bucks £££££££££££££££s

Yeah fixed wing is definitly cheaper both to achieve and to keep up afterwards as you still have to fly your minimum hours each year to keep your licence,my Bro bought a part share in a plane once he qualified because it worked out cheaper than leaseing privatly for individual days/hours.

Oops sorry should have explained at the start he is a fixed wing pilot not a helicopter pilot.He did the more expensive Joint Aviation Authorities Private Pilot's Licence though as he flys in the States as well.
