Took these on a non-RS trackday at Castle Combe from inside my Sapphire with digi-camcorder..

They're cool photos. Are those captured after the event from the video or is it using a camera function 'cause either way the quality is very good.

Cheers Duplex, I put my digi camcorder on a tripod between the seats from behind then bungeed the tripod down and filmed all my sessions on track. After i got home i then downloaded the film onto the computer and extracted the pictures in the editing suite program.. The film came out really well with no camera shake and stereo tyre squealing.. Still Picture quality from a cam corder is no where near as good as from a digital camera though..

did the video 'download to the computer' function come with the camera or is that an aftermarket piece of kit?

Always fancied doing some video editing, just wondered how difficult/expensive it is to do.

Hi Duplex, Iv'e been using VideoWave, version4. If you have got Windows XP home edition like mine then i wouldn't recomend it.. I bought this from PC World who told me it was compatible with XP even though it does not say that on the box, and just lately all picture capture has started to slow down and the films wont produce now so after looking in the manufacturers web forum i find that lots of other people are having the same probs with XP..
Also for every 500 mb of capture you produce on your comp will take out 6gb of memory from your hard drive as i found out when i ran out of space..
I see some of the rsoc b.b users are having similer probs..

That sounds smart, do you get a Card with it or is it completely software based. I'm just wondering what type of inputs it takes, ie Coax, SVideo, etc.

I have win2k but my machine is only a 366Mhz so it probably won't run that software. 6Gb is bigger than my whole hard drive

I'll go and have a look on the web, cheers for the info.

I still haven't got the hang of the flash mode's on my camera yet, but i think you can see what you get with it..
