Last year i sold my 4 door escort[which i regret] to free up some cash to fund my rallying addiction.I had a few good results last year in a mitsubshi 1600 colt,which was ok but not a very good spec and handled like a jelly on rollaskates,so i thought it was time for a change and went and bought this off wanye arrowsmiths dad. Brief spec: standard 1600 engine,be3 gearbox with atb 4.4 cwp,full safety devices cage,billys alround,1.9 front brakes and shafts. First event is the eagle in 2 weeks time,not a lot to do to car really,just fit spots and mount a floor switch for my navigator. God i cant wait to get back on them lanes

Cheersseats are ok but may change them some time in the future for some side mounted ones and weld some proper seat bars in

Ah busy busy rest of the year for you then.. I like it

My next one will be Mid Summer Caerwent next month. After that we'll see how it goes depending on the cash and what tyres I have left and what I can get hold of. I could probably have one a month for the rest of the year aswell, depends if cash allows it

Good luck at caerwent,would come down and specy if it was closer. Trying to do rallying on a budget is always hard,ive done it for years. Do you plan on doing anymore roadrallys or you just sticking to the stages

I was planning on doing the 1000 lanes last night but as the box went in Talbenny that went out the window. I'll hopefully to one or two this year. Deffinetly do the Mel Harries in December as its on my doorstep and we ll see what else pops up and if there is some spare cash there.

Bit of a update,have fitted spots and are in the middle of wiring up and fitting stedie bars.Have fitted a floor switch for my navigator to operate nav light,also gave the strut tops a lick of paint cause they were rusty
