Hi Guys, I would like to share my Mk2 Escort race car full rebuild and fabrication. Im going full hog on this car now from a full strip down to Acid dipping then full fabrication work by Gary Martin Motorsport. will try and keep you updated with progress. Enjoy.

One of my favourite cars is this. When you hoping to have it all back together Peter?? You keeping the same engine, running gear etc??

Hi guys well im full steam ahead with it really, Fabrication work should start in the next few weeks, im toying with the idea with an engine upgrade but my heart is telling me to f off and stay pinto. Love that engine. Arches may get a little bigger but nothing massive, want to try amd keep the existing look as i think its iconic in the ford world. Really going all out, link kit, roll cage pedal box, brakes etc. im sure Gary will be along shortly to elaborate on plan.

Yep, she's in for the full chassis Tweeks, plus some new bits I've been tinkering with while I've been laid up with the back operation.. Nothing drastic, just some relocation of some bits for better O/A weight and CofG
Be binning a fair bit if the car, but the arches have to stay, although they will need a mod or 10 due to the ride height and Peters choice of Wheels..
He's been patiently waiting for a few years to get the shell in.. Thank you Peter, and only a few more weeks before the first cuts ..

Peter. You must be well chuffed that the shell came back from dipping in such good condition. Please try and give us plenty of notice about the axle spec, or get Gary to give us the detail so we can at least get a start on it as we are well busy right now. Cheers John...

Yep very happy with the shell seems very solid, can't wait to start the fab work. Gary and I will be in touch asap to get onto the axel.

Not to keen the obp range I saw them at the auto sport show and thought they were a little cheaply made, not really a fan. I'm looking at Tilton or AP, big price difference between them I know your paying up for the AP but it is the cream of the crop.
