I've now got a roger kit fitted, great genuine bloke, very nice piece of kit. Got an unrelated problem with my rack though, anyone know of a sunbeam quickrack 2:4 or 2:2 ratio ?.

I love Sunbeams,did the Welsh tarmac championship in one as a navi many moons back,we won the class and 2nd only to Steve Sorfranou 6R4!any one remember it?

it had a fibreglass Avenger front
I did the Gremlin road rally in a Pinto engined Sunbeam in 1980ish,it was on a 45 weber and went like stink.,can't find a pic of that

Don't seem to see sunbeams out in the lanes anymore, looks like a very tidy base. I'm looking into a nice road rally spec xe for mine, what sort of power are you expecting with the work you mentioned? Has your engine builder got a shop?

Ive had a change of plan and bought a s2k and gearbox, not sure if its the best idea.... Time will tell!

I know for a 2.5 kit , new, £165 i think, any good to you?

After thinking about it over and over for a few days i think ill stick with the original plan and keep the xe, its just so simple and easy to fit and ive already got this head for the build

Yes it will, its been nearly a year now , its being painted and should have it back in few weeks, there was a bit more welding to be done than what i thought, trouble is once I start poking here and there I found many holes and some filler ( a lot ) covering rust patches , it should be stronger now the fillers been replaced with steel. ive bought coilovers for the front so thats the suspension sorted at last

Didnt manage to get it ready fo r the night owl rally but not far off, polycarbonate kit fitted, all dash and wiring finished inside the car, just got to fit engine and box, change front suspension /cross member and hopefully not much more so i can mot it
