atlas axle with 5.1 cwp
all the other usual road rally bits and car is also log booked
done a few rallys in her now
started off with the Autum rally in carmarthen seeded at car 39 and my uncle car infront in his bmw compact
we started off at a steady pace getting used to the car picking up the pace as we were going on car was going well had some time at a control so had a look at the car and discoverd that we only had 1/4 tank left with with over 20 miles until petrol i decided to take it easy by the time we were at the halt i coudnt see any petrol in the sight gauge with the 2nd half being local we gained some good time and finished 24th o/a with 3 fails what could have been 6th o/a but thats rallying
Next was the famous Cilwendeg rally
Starting at car 51 for this one again with my uncle car infront started off well into the first white as we came out it was spinning a bit more than normal we had a puncture luckily this was near the end of the selective and we managed to pull over and change with minimal time lost on a neutral section there was a fair few whites and being very slippy got stuck on 1 and lost timr having to turn round we managed to finish 17th o/a and 2nd in class with my uncle being first in the class
next up was builth showground stages
builth is a small single venue around a showground with stages being used multiple times was a great laugh with slippy stages and was a job to get the traction down unsure of the result on this 1 but not the best
after built the car had a bit of a rest as the diff was well worn and the borrowed gearbox i had needed some tlc
i then done the 1000 lanes road rally in my uncles bmw compact not a bad little car nice and sturdy down the whites but its no escort the rally was cut short by the organisers due to a problem at the fuel halt so we headed back to the finish and a mate of mine had gone off down a white and got stuck so we went and got him out amd came back again had a look at the results and wed managed 20 o/a amd 1st in class totally unexpected
next rally was the mel harries road rally
Starting car 29 on this 1 now with my uncle car behind the battle was on again all going well with a tricky route just before petrol we caught the rear end on a tight triangle luckily not to much damage to carry on we were leading the class by just under 2 mins in petrol and 7 oa but again no luck a pruncture in the 2nd half on a comp section we had to pull over to change loosing 4-5 mins red mist then set in and the chase was on we finished 7oa and 2nd in class again behinf my unclw in the bmw
little break over christmas the car had some new bits
new steering rack fresh tcas new strong link bars and front wheel bearings also repaired the damage at the rear
now onto 2016
first rally of the year bro caron rally
sarting off as a reserve and only had a run on the friday afternoon day before we were at car 45 started off going steadt as usual maybe a little too steady but it was very slippery with a few cars off here and there had a few problems in a farm yard with bales all over the place got to petrol with no dramas set off for the 2nd half with abit more of a push car going well but still very slippery we made it to the end 17th oa and 2nd in class again
now the car is back in the shed awaiting its re prep for the next rally
