It's great fun, I've been racing in the British sxs championships for 3 years now. I built the escort so that I could relive my youth and go round corners sideways, but racing these gives me all that.

How much (roughly) is an arrive n' drive deal as a taster ?

Hi Piekey, we have events all round the country. a couple in mid wales, some in Oxfordshire. The organizers do offer arrive and drive, i think its around £1000-£1500 depending on which class you want to race in. We have 3 classes, 900cc, 1000cc and Turbo/open class. They will be having some test days in the new year for anyone interested. They dont normally charge for those unless you damage them.
The 1000cc class is the premier class with the most drivers. if you need any more info i can give you a number to call.
