My lad was well impressed, doesn't get to see many Escorts round here, except your 4-door outside school. He is in the same year as Jack

Been sat in front of the PC all week so thought I would have an hour on the Mini, that turned into three and I unearthed a multitude of horrors hidden under well disguised filler and underseal Was expecting some of it and knew I had to replace one wing but now its 2 wings, 1 maybe 2 a panels, rear panel, boot floor repairs and sill repairs. Still at least I've started it now

made sure I swept it off before taking those pics, taking it to my mates garage next week then the Escort goes back on and over to Manchester for the windows then you can have your 'ramp' back

Its not the easiest thing to work on either, keep stepping off it and its a long way up for me

              Re: Jon Betts Autograss Mini

Been a busy bee this last week and managed to get the car as far as the paint booth. Done everything myself so far including bending up the cage (with a little guidance ) and painting the shell, which I'm quite impressed with. Only got one run on the outside although I have to admit to a dzen or so on the inside but hey its only a grasser....Got the sign writer on it tomorrow so will have some more pics to share

Actually no.....we had to buy another 5-litres as we painted two other Mini's the same as well Thought it would be cool to have a matching race and road car and the garage where I have done all the work thought it would look good to have teram colours this season Will post pics of the sign writing tonight,

Really nice Jon, might like a go at that myself. So does that mean when you prang it you can simply peel off the numbers and put them on the misses car for the next race

Ok the sign writer has been on the car for most of the day, his work is top notch and a joy to watch. Did feck all today myself just stood and watched him paint Total cost was 80-quid, yep thats right although we did get a discount as we had three cars done at once but i think its still only 100-120 per car.
Pictures speak for themselves....just got to get it fitted up and ready for first outing on april 2nd, think I'll give the others a head start so that I don't get my paint chipped

Thanks Dave Gotta stick with 10-inch steel rims but gonna paint them black and silver to look like the 4-spoke revo's on the road car.

Are you going to thrash this through some mud next?
                            Won't it get all dirty?

Might take it a bit gingerly too start with Although once the starting rope drops you tend to forget about paint jobs and just think of getting out in front.

With a windscreen like that, I think I would want to be in front.
