i built the car nearly ten years ago as a tarmac car, did a few events in it, made loads of changes here and there, made loads of mistakes, spent more money than i ever needed to over the years to get to where i am now. in between all that it was parked up for a few years whilst i invested in a bit of property.
all the work ( bar the engine mapping ) is done by myself.
where would you start with the spec ?
the story is soooooooooooo long it would be way too much space on the server - so a brief run down
used to have the std cossy motor and a quaife type 9 sccr box, had modified rear diffs of all types, viscouse , atb, plated units , been normally aspirated for a while as well on 48's , from all the modification/engine types/gearbox types its had im work out that the car in the pics is EVOLUTION 5 i think
( well mitsi did it !! )
current spec,
engine,
high comp YB , head worked, cams, full group A turbo with 34mm intake, boost peak at 2 bar, grey inj, WI, twin stage ALS, ISS , air2air, P8 dual mapped, remote oil filter/cooler.
cooling,
radtec alluminium radiator, specially fabricated multicore intercooler
gearbox ,
quaife 5 speed dogbox (dogleg 1st) direct top, hydraulic single plate clutch, single piece prop,
rear axle,
salisbury plated, 4.27:1 ratio, and also 3.77 if needed ( dont bother really tbh)
suspension,
bilstein inverted tube coil overs, varying inserts/ratio's/ 2 1/4 springs, rose jointed rear arms for toe/camber adjustment, adjustable front suspension arms, compresion struts - no antiroll bars.
interior,
full rally spec really, you name it, it probably has it.
fuel system,
cant remember pump type, but low level lift to high pressure via swirl chamber, boot floor mounted aluminium tank,
steering,
elecrtohydraulic quick rack assistance, pas front mounted cooler,
wheels,
15" for forrest/gravel 205/65/15 pirrelli,s
17" for tarmac 220/620/17 various
looks like a for sale post this !!
in the summer ( i hope) will make the transistion to 4wd, due to lack of traction on gravel and in the wet !!
cheers all
if i think of anything else i will add it !
Regards Mark
