    renault 8 tarmac race car

hello folks , just a quick couple of pictures of my renault 8 race / road car . the car is superlight with bags of grip and traction , it uses an 1.4 litre screamer atmo 5 gordini engine in the boot driving a transaxle and 8x13 gotti split rim replica wheels . I will take some decent pictures of it soon and post em up

I remember DW (david white) and myself looking over your car at a Boxhill meet when DW's car was there...

Loverly looking car, always remind of the NSU's

Re: renault 8 tarmac race car

here is a cool photo of it that i've just robbed off of the alpine renault web site , i will dig it out of my lock up soon and gate crash a few ford events again . The car has glassfibre boot lid , rear wings , front wings , plastic windows , cut out doors and no interior . The race tuned gordini motor barks like a bastard and everyone doesn't have a clue what it is !!!!

yes steve i am going to take it this year i think , only thing is its geared for hillclimbs so flat out at 90 mph , and you can only get £10 of petrol in the alloy fuel tank so i'll be stopping every 30 miles for petrol

err not many , most where owned by bible bashing old ladys and got scrapped 20 years ago , You get the odd rusty standard one pop up now and then for a few hundred quid so worth checking out as a project car Here's another racing renault 8 to get you in the mood
