as some of you may know im helping to run the 4hire escorts in two championships this season

Connor Corkill (remember the name as he's going to be VERY quick in the future) is competing in the BHRC and the manx championship this season

Ian Corkill (no need to remember the name as you should already know it !) is competing in the manx championship
i'll do a quick run down on the cars but i will update throught the season !

Connor's Mk2
Started life with a BD in, was used by callum duffy to great sucess ian used it for a few events then the engine was swapped to a 194bhp 2.0 pinto, connor used this from last july until last weekend we it had enough and self destructed its now waiting for newly built BD to be fitted in time for the IOM easter stages

when ian used it with the BD in

also got this very tasty mk1 in the garage (no longer fitted with the wilcox pinto)

theres also a 220bhp zetec powered mk1, i'll upload the pictures soon but this runs widetrack suspension, 6sp quaife etc and is currently waiting for mr dunnel to deliver a new engine for it and all im going to say is it will be one of thee most powerful N/A escorts i know of if the figures quoted come true

well a bit of news from the weekend at the bulldog. after destoying the pinto the week before ian lent connor the mk2 RS1800 (the rothmans with silver bits in the pics above) so it was the first time he's driven a BD, and his first serious mileage with a ZF in the woods.
8th in class, 10th overall not bad considering he had puncture and suffered a bit of brake fade (trying different pads)
we also took delivery of a new axle, a new ZF gearbox and a freshly rebuilt sherwood BD (248bhp) so theres a few new bits to put onto connors car i'll get some pics up of his new paint scheme soon.
next event is the IOM easter forest stages in 2 weeks (as a manx championship round a shakedown for the Pirelli the week after) theres alot of confidence within the team as connor wasnt pushing too hard due to the new car so once he gets some more experience in a BD the stage times should fall he's already quicker then most of the ST's and swifts, he would also embares quite a few of the 4wd's
was good to see tim in the service area aswel did anyone get any photos of the back of the historic rallysport mk1? thats waht happens when you confise a absolute left with a square left im sure the boys at historic will get it sorted soon as there absolutly top lads
Well done to David Higgins for winning C5 (with a damaged hand, an off and a puncture), and well done to Elliot and Reynolds for flying all day in D5
