    Starlet Thanks/Round2

So firstly to all of those who did the paint shop work on my car a couple of months ago - Mick has now painted it white, and we're building it back up for the summer.

There is just one little thing though - Can't get a window for it so extreme actions required. Can any of you Ladies and Gents chop the roof off it and see what it looks like? I'm thinking it could look pretty good (it's got the right window lines...)

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm. Not very good at thiis internet thing then - clearly!
      Try again - another photo.

PS. For those of you that know this car, it may not look a lot different despite the shed loads of time spent on it lately. the key difference is I can drive it as you see it here - couldn't before :-)

needs bigger wheels, front mesh grills, front light surrounds aswell.

Cheers He290uk. Not sure how I'm gonna get seats in the back of it though! theres a fuel tank and a nitrous bottle in there!! Very tempting though - couple of hours with a wood saw and job done!

                      Subject: Starlet window

In response to your post 'what window am I after'. I'm after a drivers door window. Getting desperate enough to consider anything right now, but the ideal one would be the early style without mirrors. that said if you got a later door, or a car or.... I'm told that the corrolas used the same doors so I'd even consider one of those right now.

Thanks in advance either way - rich.Baker@btinternet.com

Rich, why not just get a perspex rally/race one with a slide vent in it. Probably more available than it's glass counterpart and you can still drive on the road with a side windowmade from perspex...I think.. Also it's lighter so the cars faster

Ferg. Regards Window, I've got a perspex one that will fit in the hole, but because it's flexible it's gonna wind down but not up (you need to push the top corner in from outside). The rest of the car is pretty sweet, so this is going to stand out like a sore thumb as a 'propper bodge'. Thanks for the thought though.

Right now, I can't help but think I'm about to take a long haul flight and leave a car with a door missing at a foriegn airport. Mad world huh?

fibersports in basildon can make curved pespex windows, least they said they could about 3 years ago
