Isn't it just a tiresome job of slowly and carefully erasing everything around the object you want to keep?

      Re: background change

I do everything in PSP7 so if you want any tips I'll be glad to help.

I do tend to just copy the image onto another layer (hide the original) and use the eraser tool. Note that in the tool options toolbar that you can change the hardness etc. I use a large hard tool (oo err missus) to remove the majority getting as close as I dare to the object you want to keep. Then I'll make the tool smaller and soften the tool to make the removal of the last bit of background more delicate leaving a soft edge to the object. The soft edge makes it look much better when added to your new background.

Don't bother using the eraser tool it takes ages and does not make it a good finish.
Use the pen tool in order to creata a path. Go to path menu, create new path, then begin plotting points around the outside of your car with the pen tool. Make sure you zoom in as close as you can. Then copy and paste the path and its contents into a new document, switch off the background layer (or colour it how you see fit... jobs a goodun!
