White to Black

Anyone got any ideas how i can turn a white car black and vice versa

I know its hard to turn white any kind of colour and i'm willing to try anything

BTW! I've only been using photoshop for about 3 days now - so i'm still a newbie to this kind of stuff - only ever used paint shop pro before

Your wires are a little crossed there. It's hard to turn black to any colour or any colour to black. It's easy to turn white to ny colour....except black....lol

I turned a white RS200 black once for someone...


The thing to do when doing any colour change IMO is to seperate the bits with the colour you want to change onto another layer then save the layer as a backup (as it takes some time to seperate nicely) and past another layer with you coloured bits and work on them from there. I'm sure I went through the process for this in the Gulf Capri thread.

I also usually double the size of the pic before working on it as it helps smoot the finish after you resize it back afterwards.

For the black stuff I'm sure I just used a mixture of the ttols available. ie Negative image etc. Until I found something close then touched up the remains by hand. It's important to note it very rarely comes out really nice without some manual touch ups.
