Fast Car ,April 1990,1st dyno shootout!

I think I am right in saying this was the 1st ever dyno shootout feature,

for pinto's in 1990.

It was a fun day,dave walker and danny morris did it for fast car,in its

infancy then!

Bit of a mixed bunch,but HT were still the daddys with there race pinto,

they did two runs,the 1st one the engine bay caught fire,but roland

wasn't phased

The second one we all had to sit or stand on the car to get it to grip on

the rollers,and that was with slicks!

Of course thats my tina in there,made the most power for a "road" car

that day

Aaah those were the days I was still in school and dieing to get a mk2 escort Gary had a mk2 back then,nice 1.1 bog standard engine ex panda police car
Sometimes i wish i was a few years older and to of been around when all this was going on. I never did get to go to a crystal palace meet,i think my first chelsea was either '94 or '95
