The first truck is the one I used to do European work in.The beetles on there were the first ones into the UK,picked up from Antwerp docks,where that pic was taken ...

This second pic is the one I drove in the UK when I'd had enuff of long periods away.These triple deckers are too high for Europe as their motorway bridges are lower than ours.It is approx 16 ft,depending on how it's loaded and with what/how many cars.I used a telescopic measure evrytime so I knew the exact height and never managed to hit any bridges

This last one is a draw-bar.A different configuration and alot easier to manoever than the artic.It has a more versatile body as well.

Where were the worst roads then? You must have seen some shockers in your time on the road, or are they all better than the UK! lol
draw bar units are a pain.You cant front end lift them, only pull them on the straight bar with ya wreckers.Great fun for your fore arms if they dont run...lol
