    RS2000

Finally got off me arse and went out to the garage this weekend! Took the bonnet off to replace the stickers (in the living room) and removed the wheels for polishing.

Doesn't she look nice on Fiesta Steels!!!!

Also whilst the bonnet was off I decided to clean up a little under there! Only got halfway across though! BIG difference or what!

Not exactually concourse but it does look a little nicer!

      Re: RS2000

      Thanks Jason.

I wanted one for ages whilst I had a S1 and it took me about 3 years to find her!! I had a look at a few but when the garage door opened up on this one I just knew I had to have her!! I couldn't stop smiling! Not a good bartering look!! Had to be Olympic Blue too!!!

Now all I need is a nice 3 door to be content!

Sure are, and they run fine!! Only trouble I have found is cause they don't have a choke fitted starting up during the winter is a bitch! I have to jump it cause the battery goes flat before she gets going! But during the summer no problem at all!!

Makes one hell of a difference too! I surprised a friend in his S2 cause he didn't think an old car like that could leave him standing! Big mistake I think he was a bit sick too cause he kept making up all sorts of excuses for weeks till he finally admitted he'd been beaten!

Yep, carbs are a git in the cold. Had a set of 45's with chokes but they didn't help much. I think Webber finally solved the prob when they bought out the SP's as I have had a set of 48's and 50 SP's and they have both started up the same. Two pumps ot the throttle and bang your off!

The other thing is you need a good strong spark as twins flood easy.

There's nothing like the roar of carbi's though you'll never beat them!

Don't know why you are polishing the alloys, just get a nice set of hubcaps for those rims

You will have to PM or mail me directions though cause I dont think I have them anymore!?!

                    Got the dampers tho:

Very nice mate. Looking good. Wish I had the time to get my head finshed and fit the damn thing! Oh well it will be done by spring. The avo top adjustables are they to fit your rs2 struts? Are you converting to 2.25? How much for the inserts and where? That is the next thing to get sorted on mine!

                        Carl

They are for MK2 RS2000 struts. Just them dampers you see there were £190.00! They are going to be converted to 2.25 coilovers and I'm not entirely sure but the kits are around £45 I think??

Mark this is where you come in!

Call RallyDesign Kieron, I think they are the cheapest for the kits.

Rallye designs kits aren't as nice as RACE ones (better collars for the springs) they are £65 a pair plus delivery etc, and springs are £32, there is also a small spring helper you can use if the springs are very low to stop them popping out when the car is jacked up, at £9 each.

The rallye design stuff is OK but it is built to a bit of a budget, OK with some things but not with others for very small savings.
