Re: finally its my new car, ive only had it 8 weeks

the pictures of the interior are quite deceiving, the sides are actually quite high , they fit my ass in quite snugly anyway, i initially found the pedals to be a bit small and close together, but im used to it now and it gives me no probs, even with my size 11 steel toe work boots,

the escort is slowly coming along, more in the engine department than anything else, i'll do a detailed description of whats happening very soon, cant be arsed thinking about it today.

i advise all you people who are unsure of these cars to have a go, it wont blow you away, it may only have 98 bhp but being in a small car its not slow and the ride and handling make for a great combination, its not luxurious in anyway, the seats are supportive and the ride is quite firm and in the interior its only what you need, the picture of the dash is all the interior equipment you get, hot-cold slider, feet-face-window slider, fans on/off 1-2-3 speed controller, hazard and rear demister buttons, the leccy windows button is down in between the handbrake and gear stick,

    thanks for all the encouragement

It makes me laugh all the people who want to chip up their Focus RS when you know it's going to invalidate the warranty.
Ah, but Superchips say that they will warranty a failure if it is proved to be as a result of the chip! - You could never prove conclusively that any failure (mechanical or electrical) was down to the chip itself. Therefore superchips's warranty isn't woth a

When you buy a new car the whole point is the warranty and thus the 'no surpise' garage bills.

I think you have a cracker, and think it is well worth modding it the official route.

we've got a saan 9-5 and we had that modified by abbott racing (chip, suspension, exhaust, filter etc), and they told us that it would not affect the saab warranty. When some warranty work came to be carried out, the saab delaer told us that the warranty was void.
We went to the saab dealer in bristol and they said no problem with the mods and did the work, Strange.

Still, all worked out in the end

ps, nice car by the way, ive been in one and they are good fun
