Re: My sons rally car
Looks great Vince...sounds really good and seems very grunty for a 1400, probably the lightness of the car? I'd luv to bring a Davrian or Darrian over to Australia, there would be alot of interest in the car and being Welsh it seems right!

Re: My sons rally car
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it. The car is an ex forest car so is heavier than most. I went for torque over out and out power, and it runs a 4.5 diff for the likes of epynt rather than single venues.
Are there none over there? i know of a couple in Barbados so they have got around.
I mapped a Darrian GTR today complete with paddle shift etc, they have certainly moved on!The best drivers have dead flies on the side windows.Comment

Re: My sons rally car
Cool....I recognise the colour scheme of it when I was last at Pembrey or Epynt in 2006 or 2007 with a crossflow maybe?? Or maybe on a forest event as I've been on a few thousand.
There are no Darrian's or Davrians that I know of in Australia....perhaps Mr. Duffee might give me a works drive for the Asia Pacific region?
I even remember being at Pembrey when Geoff Kitney in his T9 (my favourite shape) found the only concrete Bollard around...hurt his Nav if i remember right? But that was a long long time ago....
Anyway your sons seems to go really well as I'd expect from the occupation of his dad! Good luck on the next outing, but if its Epynt please stay on the black stuff, Davrian's and an off on that place is never pretty!

Re: My sons rally car
I wondered when you would pop up and have a jibe at me Mr P. lol. The driver is off playing a game with an odd shaped ball, i need a hand to fit the eng/box back in the car so took the afternoon off! I deserve it at my age fella. The best drivers have dead flies on the side windows.Comment

Re: My sons rally car
Lol, well, if I was any nearer, I'd offer my services to assist, but then you've seen my timing skills! Lol. Guess coming from a sais, the ball would look odd, but only to be expected. Thought you'd have had someone doing the monkey work for you, especially with the labour charges you charge! Mmm....best tread carefully now, or I won't sleep for weeks after my next visit!Comment
