Nankangs all round I think when I did it in the 205 last year it ate my 21s but I wasn't driving very tidy last year we had very good weather and it was hot so weather dependant too

It's bound to piss down, it always does when I do a Pembrey! Picked mine up from Fairfield today and it's driving lovely so looking forward to it now.

Give the competiton my tyre choice?? never!! ha ha ha ha... only joking.. If it's mainly dry I'll go with either Yoko 48's or 32's either soft or medium on the front, depending on how warm it is and some soft 32's on the rear. If its proper wet then it will be Yoko 21's all round.

Circuit itself will be fine regardless of weather.. apart from Honda curve maybe, go kart track is slippery regardless, runway strip off the crossroads is always dirty and can be bad if wet and Beach road... well it'll be cow shit central more than likely.

Sounds like you have a lot of tyres at your disposal! I have 1 set of 38s, 1 set of 48s, a set of dz03s and some very tired a2s.

Oh no, Im down to bear bones at the moment. I have a good set of Yokohama 21r's and I have a good set of Yokohama a032's. Im going to have to buy either a good set of second hand 48's or bite the bullet and buy a pair of new ones and then try and source some others.

it is indeed. Just got to try and keep on top of things though. Be keeping an eye on ebay and if nothing turns up I'll go to John for a new pair.

Oh.. that will be expensive time then. But it's one of those things that is imposed on us as competitors. Everything sorted and ready to go in 2 weeks?

Yeah, it's all ready to go. Seems a bit boring without a last minute scramble to sort it out!
Went to Patriot Stages today because mum was co driving for Peter Lloyd and decided I want a WRC now!

                      Are you ready for Pembrey?

Ha ha ha don't we all. I keep telling myself, "one day you'll have one"

I know exactly what you mean, it's been ready since last weekend. Did a check over and changed a couple of things on Saturday but yeah, all set. Looking forward to it

Character building day today at Peter Lloyd Stages. It was extremely wet and slippy and as a result I repeatedly crashed! We got a finish though and it's more mileage that has taught me some more things. One of the most surprising things I learned was how good Dunlop A2s are. I've mostly stuck to Yokohamas in Road Rally Class but using those first things had the back end going light and spinning everywhere! Tried the A2s and it was like driving a different car.
Shame they are so expensive but I think I will be buying some more.
Next event for me is the Xmas Stages also at Pembrey and it will be good to see if we can do better on our return to the venue.
