Hi, I'm thinking of fitting Perspex door glass to my 2 door mk1 with sliders. I'm going no to use single piece without the quarter window. Does anyone know if I have to gut through the 2 welded joint that join the outside and inside sections of the door at the quarter light end? Thanks

Re: Mk1 Perspex Windows
I presume that you're talking about the strip where the 1/4 light sits? You should only need to cut that if the Perspex window is too deep to fit with it there. -

Yes it's the two strips where the quarter fits. There is no Wayne can get the Perspex in with them there And wondered what others have done.Comment

Great thanks. Does it effect the stability of the doors or are they still solid?Comment

Re: Mk1 Perspex Windows
Mine are held in with stuff from my local windscreen fitters, it's what they use on rear glasses in Volvos etc and comes on a roll.Comment
