    Re: merc 190E

the engine is very low maintenace,

same plugs for the hole last season.

i restrict the revs to 8,700 ish with the odd 10,000

the last engine before freshen did 4,500 race miles like this,

this one is about 8hrs old so hopeing to get a lot more out of it yet,

the car makes up for it with great handing and braking,

with an original dtm car it has many trick parts like carbon prop and anti roll bars,

the power sterring is run of the prop so only works when you are moving!

and the diff oil pump runs of the drive shaft,

mag sump and bell housing with xtrac six speed dog box( double h pattern)

all up weight is 980 kilos

and very good downforce with low drag figures all done in the german wind tunnals,

so far it has cost less run than my old sierra rs500 did,

i think i saw your car at ford fair or the rs nationals, cant remember wich but it sounded awsome, i want to build an engine like that and then maybe build a car to put it in to race or i could just put it in my mk1 escort and scare every one on the roads

i would love to know what they do to make an engine rev like that and not blow apart, can anyone let me in on any secrets???

i have a load of YB parts like like everything apart from the block, do you recon with a lot of work i could get one of these to rev to say 9000-9500RPM ??? if so what???
