They seem to be fast but fragile.
Thanks for Your feedback regarding the elite boxes. The reason I have decided on an elite is my mate ran one in his escort he did have some minor teething problems but it was a fast shift gearbox which I rele liked and his was an il300 not il200. I have spoken to elite resently and they have just brought out the new 2012 il300 with strengthened gears/new casing design/ longer main shaft to take a shorter prop and a newly designed flatshifter. I've heard a lot of negative comments regarding the quaife g60 and Ive heard of all the bad comments on people's experiances with customer support regarding wanting bits and advise. I would love a tractive box but I'm afraid I'm on a budget carnt afford one unless I found one for £5000 lol which won't happen

That makes sense, sounds like they are making the required improvements. Their service seems good, when the darrian box is sent to them they seem to get it rebuilt and back in no time.

Good luck with it, looks like it will be a cracker when it's finished.

Just looked at your oil plumbing Dane and wondered where you have put your oil filter? I'm thinking of moving my tank into the engine bay as well.

Oh and watch this to see how the new elite box performs

I saw this video the other day its mint lol. Exactly Paul if that elite can handle 300+ bhp with frank Kelly who is no mug I'm sure I won't have any problems "touch wood". He renews his box every year to eliminate having problems. as for my oil filter Paul I've located it on drivers side inner wing I will upload a photo for you

its a ralloy under bonnet dry sump tank for a duratec. i think i payed £180 for cash not vat and the cut out for it to to weld into the inner wing was £40 and also were the tank is right above the pump its always gravity fed not trying to pull it from the other end off the car definitly worth doing and also you only use 2 meters of pipework saves weight and pound notes how you getting on with the engine sinario paul?

a few little updates for paul c of the mods ive done on my car . rear turrett extensions for more suspention travel and chassis rail cuts to allow the axle to travel further up in the shell. also paul i had my turret extensions made by my local steel engineers i had them roll me the steel then had a top cap put on also with a 5mm pilot hole through the top ready for me to remove my top caps from my old turrets and drill the suitable size hole for the top of the bilstien. these only cost me £30 to have made im buzzing
also the car will be having a A piller rollcage addition like all the latest modern mk2's and painted anthrecite grey inside due to me disturbing the red paint
