hi all....
i recenlty (oct 2011) bought myself a rwd mk3 escort for road rally's.

Titan Big tunnel shell
2L Pinto - big valve head, ported polished, piper cam
Tranx 5 Speed SCCR gearbox
Atlas axle - ZF Diff
World cup X-member
Fully turreted - Bilstein and gaz coilovers

I bought it a few months back and have done a couple of events but not had much luck... im yet to get a finish in it!







Now a bit of a strip down and general tidy up. Engine and gearbox have gone away to be rebuilt, looking into the suspension setup (spring rates ect) weld a few little bits up and replate the strut tops, fit steel bonnet and boot on hinges, tidy up inside

This is all from a while back....

i bought the car, did a couple of events then decided to rebuild it.. Had the shell sprayed, the engine rebuilt, Gearbox rebuilt. did a couple of night events and the engine blew.

Due to the season coming to an end.... Also new rules annouced by the MSA thats any cars that have been converted ( FWD to RWD) are to be banned as of Jan 2014... Iv decided nows the time to strip it again, Tidy it up and start preparing it for Single Venues. it is already logbooked but due to new rules (AGAIN!!) it has to be re logbooked as a CAT2. so the engine has now gone, im on the look out for a decent spec redtop to run on carbs. Iv taken the dash out to tidy the wiring up and have it flocked. I will get some more pictures soon...

Been fairly busy over the past few weeks....

Got the inside tidied up and painted...






Had the dash tidied up and flock. Really happy with the result




Made a Dash pannel





Tidied the axle up, checked back-lash and fitted the brace



Link bars had all new Genuine ford bushes and new rose joints


Tca's Cleaned and New Ford bushes


Anti roll bar cleaned and painted, new Bushes and washers


Suspension Stripped and cleaned

Does a standard atlas go under these mk3's or do they need to be shortened?
