I saw this car in the flesh today Lee and it looked great first thing this morning - but i think you might need a bit of panel beating by the end of the day! But fair play to you, you were certainly on it!! The engine sounded the nuts!
Did you enjoy your day mate? Hope you finished as we had to leave due to the engine giving up on my mates pug, and then on the way home the hire van engine cried enough as well!!
Yea cracking day... Should have gone into it abit more cautious than we did. Only being able to run a 185 on the back made it hard to drive straight!! Lol
First stage, we had a few spins... Second stage alot better, third stage is where we did the damage, and we went off and got beached for just under a minute. This left us about 32oa, Back to service and we got the quarter pannel pulled out as much as we could as it was slicing through the tyres.
Pushed harder in the afternoon for the remaining stages, again has a few spins but we made up some time and came 15oa. Chuffed with that! Like you said considering what we was up against!
i was marshalling at the horseshoe at down ampney where you went off, in fact i was the one who took the steering wheel out of your hands, i could see what you were trying to do but it would not have worked, hope you did not mind. As you said a bit too wild to begin with but good to watch. a lot quicker in the later stages and a good result, well done
