what a year it has been, Learnt alot and spent alot! But most of all loved every minute of it! the car is in bits again now, the head has been sent away for work and im going for the hydraulic clutch conversion ( my legs cant take anymore) Hard going with a twin plate clutch on cable.
the last event was only a couple of weeks ago, Neil howard memorial Stages at oulton park. didnt think it was going to suite the car nor my driving style but i enjoyed it. i think battling with a few other cars made the day a bit better, we also managed to get 3rd in class (up to 2000cc)
Thanks for the comments guys.... Yea cost a fortune, mainly tyres and paint
The car has worked incredibly well all year, only having one DNF which was our first event.. Faulty alternator, rest of the year went well, bar my love for chicanes getting out of hand!
I have changed the setup all through the year and it's nearly there just need wider wheels!!
Best event.... That's a tough one! I love Weston park and can't wait to have another go! But I'd prob have to say caerwent! What a place with a huge mix... Big speeds and tight and twisty.
hello great car nice thread some great pics as well can i ask what length are your link bars for your 4 link i have bought a set for my g3 and when fitted they seem to be a bit short even when the rose joints are wound out as far as they can go so if i could have a reference from yours to mine then i can see if my link bars have been modified or if i have to go and modify them just the length of the rods will do and no rush as i know they are not the easiest to get to
thankyou very much lee i had worked out my link bars were about 100mm to short and with your measurement that confirms it
once again many thanks keep up the good work
