Hello, Love the car and other projects that you have on.
I compete in tarmac and forestry stage rallying in Ireland in a Mk2. Ive been offered a Esslinger American Pinto, and was wondering could you answer a few Qs on them for me.
First of all how does it compare in weight and size to the european Pinto wit a 205 block.

Secondly does a type 9 bellhousing fit it.
Thanks for any help that you could give me,
Best regards
Hi
The Eslinger / US pinto whith the Alu head is approximately the same wheigt as the European ohc. Whith an alu block aswel you wil save ca 30 kg more. And the whole engine will weight approximately 120 kg. And yes the t9 wil bolt right on. Give Esslinger a call they are really helpful. I would go for the arca head as this gives 15 to 20 % more effect than the Alu head I am using due to raised ports.
Here are some films from my last races this year. I finished 2.nd in my class this year. The engine is now out an being rebuilt after 16 hours on full

I see 2 different rear axles at different times in the Black car. One looks like an Atlas and the earlier looks like a Koln. Can you please give me som info on the early axle as it looks like one I have in a 1300GT that came from France, and I have been told they are weak and cannot take HP.
