    Re: Moistys mk2 rally car

Its been a while since i put any photos up of the car, its nearly there just needs that last push
since last post i have had the gearbox turn up and fitted it, new grp4 front end and reiger coilovers, millspec loom and motec pdm30 to clean up the wiring in the car and get rid of all the relays and fuses.
The new 2.5lt duratec with all the good bits, mountune 48mm throttle bodies and forged internals, i couldnt help myself and got a carbon cam cover for it, a bit of a wank but i couldnt help myself.
I am selling my atlas and am putting in a hilux diff with a Kaaz 2 way lsd, the diff will have full floating hubs with adjustable toe and camber, they are built bullet proof and are all alloy made by raceproducts in Queensland Australia
here are some pics anyway they are all from my iphone so some are a little blurry
    cheers jono

What an absolutely stunning car - a real credit to you.

Do you know how much weight you saved when you changed from the Atlas axle?

          Cheers,

          Paul.

            Hi Paul
weight remains pretty much the same, the benefit is you have front loading diff(easier to change or have a spare or different ratio on hand and they are alot cheaper) and the axles they make for the adjustable toe and camber are on 700hp drag cars and as far as im aware they havent had any failures with them yet, raceproducts were the axle supplier for the v8 super cars here in Aus
i keep seeing cars like yours and fossies etc and i have to step up my game, all i know is its keeping me broke
            cheers jono

The Holy Grail of axles. I wish we had even a fraction of the RWD market you guys have, only to justify making axles like that. The Super car axles are just something else... Out of interest - what do you mean by "all alloy"?

                Re: Moistys mk2 rally car

                Hi fossie
Sorry nothing special with all alloy just the floater assembly I've put a couple of pics up of the units I have got and the axle ends, we also machined the back off the diff housing and weld on a plate so that the atlas watts link setup can be bolted on as I already have the body mounts fitted to suit.

                Cheers jono

Brake lines have been made and fitted, the custom milspec loom is getting done at gr motorsport electrics, i am going to be using a motec pdm to get rid of all relays and fuses and am using motec cdl3 dash to keep the new dash from galway carbon nice and clean. I also recieved my carbon bonnet and it fits perfectly, as does all the gear i have bought from them.
I may have got a little carried away with the carbon fibre but it looks so good!
I changed the panhard rod out for a watts link setup from grp4, it would be alot easier if i had a hoist but the garage ceiling isnt high enough
I also had to add another cross into the rollcage to meet the latest rules and the tunnel will need to be altered to fit the gearbox so it means i will have to respray the inside
                    Anyway here are some pics
