I'll second that, a great looking car with a top spec and nicely put together too, and a good colour also
Been great seeing it evolve over the years to what it is now, I remember seeing it at Ford Fair, Cornbury park, I think? many years ago when it still had a pinto and 4 speed box in. A great car then, its just a little bit quicker now
I've still got that early Classic Ford mag somewhere too, it must have been one of the very first issues, cant remember what year it was though?
will make the trip to the autosport show in jan a worthwhile visit seeing as it will be on the SBD stand

Remember, at the end of every straight, there's a corner......

Blimey, that's a good memory! That was one of the first shows my brother and I went to at Cornbury Park!
The edition of Classic Ford that Matt's car was in (cover car I believe?) was the second ever issue after it changed it's name from Ford Heritage magazine. I remember the day, it was pissing with rain and I bunked out of work just to watch the shoot, was at the local aerodrome. I think it was either 1996 or 1997! The car has most definitely evolved immensely since then.
Cheers Pig, thought it was about time I sowed the seed
Blimey Steve you do have a good memory, I think we did two Ford Fairs at Cornbury Park as a feature car before it moved, first must have been 1998 as the Front cover feature was Feb 98 then in 99 I had the YB because we were running it in on the way there with my Dad, I had also just fitted the 5 speed SC gearbox and as i'm sure most of you know 5th is the noisiest bloody gear in the box!!! Drove most of the way cruising in 4th I think. Fun times
Everything I want to do to the car now costs an absolute fortune but I'm very happy with the spec now, it's brilliant to drive on the rallies, what I've always wanted.
Be good to see anyone who comes to the Autosport show, Car is on the SBD Motorsport stand, come and say hi.
Saw Matt's car again yesterday and its looking better than ever - all ready for being on display at Autosport Show this week. Hopefully Gary or Glenn will post some pics up when they have a chance....
Amazing effort by all the lads Paul, Lee, Glen and with motivational support from Gary yesterday. Car is looking super shiney ready for Autosport show later this week.
Thanks again guys, will return the favor soon I hope.
