      Reebden sprint

Did the Debden sprint yesterday and managed to get a 3rd place trophy! and I was chuffed to bits, as it was my first time there and I wasnt that far behind the 2 Fwd cars in front!

It was a great course to drive on, and it felt a bit like a short rally stage!

hopefully i'll be a lot quiker there next year!

I was also surprised that out of around 80 cars, mine was the only escort there!!!

Looks too soft on the front, either needs a stiffer ARB,an anti dive kit or if you've got compression struts stiffer springs, or all three.what springs are you running? It's also possibly too high at the back but hard to tell the way it's diving.

Are you a Lydden on the 27th?

Thats what I thought from the pictures!
The rear does seem to be lifting a lot!, and the weight transfer diagonally across the car is a bit excessive!

Just fitted a pair of Gaz gold adjustables with 250 springs which may be too soft! the car has an anti-dive kit and twin cam roll bar.

                  hopefully at lydden, yes
I may have to take some harder springs to try!

imho you should be looking at 4-500lb springs for use with slicks/slicky rubber, that should give the front end a fair bit of bite and if makes it slightly understeery then use the loud pedal to cure it

With a pinto engine fitted I'd reckon on starting with 320- 350lb springs on the front, then going stiffer if it's no good. What's on the back?

Firstly its looks to be sitting nose down when stationary, so lower the back as much as possible, if its still level raise the front a little, just make sure it sits nose up when stationary

Put harder springs on the front as Pushrod says, shouldn't need to go any harder for Sprints

the back doe's look a bit high! especially when in motion.
but thats because the front is diving!

i'll have to see how low it can go on the rear, depending on the shocks!
