    Re: My Mk1 Fiesta XR2

On the attachement i see 110 mm long for the roller....very strange ! On your pictures, the 100 mm trumpets looks longer than the rollers don't they ?
And your rollers are not straight. There is an angle.

Graham, I take it you have a 2.0 in the car currently, isn't the 2.3 duratec taller? Just thinking about your clearance issues, would hate you to sort it only to find the next block needs further bodywork mods

Rollers look nice btw, loving the trumpets. I need to get some 60mm ones for my Jenveys TB's but pipercross have stopped doing them, any ideas as Burtons don't list Jenvey ones that size and i would prefer full radius ones anyway

Unfortunately the Puma engined Mk1 was sold before being finished, so no idea if it was ever completed.

I only managed 5mins in the garage last night, but I took the Jenveys off, and fitted one of the Titan's with the 100mm trumpet, and i have around an inch of clearance between the front panel and the trumpet, so there's plenty of room now, and the trumpets sit in the air flow through the grill.

I will mock it all up tonight. Looks like I may have sold the Jenveys too

According to a friend, all the trumpets are interchangeable, so the Titans may fit on the Jenveys. I'll have a go tonight.

You can convert any 2.0 to a 2.3 for around £1000. Burtons list the conversion in their catalogue. Uses a Ranger crank, rods, pistons, and a different timing chain cover. So longer crank, shorter rods, should squeeze in to the same block. Thats the theory. Could it be that simple?

Hmm, maybe I shouldn't have had that Shandy...

                    No more suspense....

Just a small piece of the front panel to remove to clear one of the trumpets. Phew.

And yes, the Jenvey trumpets fit the Titans, and vice versa.

                    Jenveys are now sold

Graham, It's this bit that concerns me as I think Dave is right and that the longer stroke means a taller block, I'm 90% sure, I'll find out for you

Today it has 3400miles on the clock, and I'm so loving the traction out of corners. Very stable in the wet, and drifts lovely out of greasy roundabouts. Not so keen on the clouds of soot when I boot her, but she's going in for a reprogram which may fix that issue.

Wow, looks stunning. Wait till I've finished the Fiesta. It'll blow your socks off. She has 6 years of competition grime for me to clean off, and she'll be having some cosmetic work done before she makes her public debut at Fiesta in the Park, 2009.

The overall length of the Titans with the 100mm trumpets is around 200mm.
