    Northeee hill/Sprint mk2

    Hi
    my 1st ever ford yes i know only get the car today had to wait all these years to get a mk2 as a lad i set of to watch mk2s on the lombard RAC all over the uk with my dad then in my mates Mexico ,one thing about his car the gear stick always came off in his hand ,he told me he paid £600 for the car wish they were that price now
    I had a chevette 1.3 but now have the real deal
    will get so more pics up soon
    todays job was jet washing the underside of the car its was caked in mud,so i could see if there was any nasty bits was too dark to tell when i had done.
    looks like its going to need a new rear box its blowing just a bit
    also my 1st ebay buy going to need this just need some time to get stuck in now

      Spec of motor



      Alloy arched Shell , Full SD cage with Diagonal and door bars , anti tramp bars , fire walled , fibre glass bonnet , strut brace etc .



      2.1 Pinto engine , worked head , rally cam with vernier , Lightened flywheel , alloy sump , competition lumenition ign , running on Twin 45 Dellorto's, 4 branch exhaust , rev limiter Alloy bell housing , 5 speed type 9 gearbox , large propshaft , LSD rear axle , Vented disc brakes with Princess 4 pot calipers, Bilstein struts with RTM , WCXM , quick rack , anti dive kit , twin cam anti roll bar, Bilstein rear shocks with multi leaf springs, Centre mounted fuel tank with elec pump, sump guard , Bucket seats , 3" belts (in date) , Brantz trip meter , internal fuses, all lines inside MSA log book , plus loads more , RS dash, 1/4 bumpers, plumbed in & h/held extinguishers etc.
      did an hour on it today has now MOT and the air horn just keeps blowing the fuse so had a look into this as i would like to put it inon monday got myself a second hand pump for the air horn all ok now

              Any one now how the rally trip meter works i dont have a clue looks nice .. ummm lights
              my other half was in town today and get me a little somthing for the garage wall

                  thanks very much thats got all the manuals on there and yes it the international 2 s pro,dont really need it but the speedo and average speed will be nice to have. has some foot buttons to work it too .

                    ok todays job was looking at the nearside sill /floor as it looked very bad after the jet was and i was thinking this is going to take time to fix .
                    so as will all do i had a prod here and there and the underseal was so think it was craking and looked like rust out came the wire brush and drill

                      All sound and solid yaaa so chuffed so i spent 1.30 mins just to do this little bit now going to do all the underside back to bare metal may take me the rest of the summer, painted kurust on this bit then going to hamerite it and see how it looks.

                        also old door stickers taken off with hair dryer and some wire brusing and kurust in the boot right hand corner

                          been under the car every day this week trying to clean off the underseal ,gave up with the drill and wire brush as it clogs up so just using a scraper now this is going to take weeks but will get there.
                          also ordered a new rear grp bumper from west wales rally as this has a RS2000 bumper on it so will get a pic up when its on and see how it looks.

                              ok did hope to get the car ready to sprint before june but but i am fussy ,pulled front wing off and going to weld on new drip rails there not that bad but think its worth doing
                              can also clean up the inside wing just need to buy a welder and learn to weld
