Right o the shows are pretty much over and summer is a distant memory.
Time to tear the escort apart again
I've had the x flow in my escort since i first built it 14 years ago its been over hauled a couple of times but never needed much and has always been reliable and fun
Hope i'm doing the right thing
Anyway i've sold the x flow so no going back now.
Everything was going fine till the "help" turned up
And the best bit of the day...........taking this poxy thing of my car(which was as difficult as it was to fitpercy: )
Such good quality
Engine out.......
And gearbox out...................
Quite a bit of room really not sure if i'm gonna do the bulk head mods or just see if it fits without.
Think a trial placement is needed

Do i prod it with a screwdriver or just pretend i havn't seen it
Anyway had a measure up with the duratec and its about 23" from top to bottom
Measured my x flow and from the sump cut out to the top of the carb linkage is about 22"
So hopefully i can drop the x member an inch and it will fit or preferably i'll get dom to modify the dry sump for me and i can gain just over an inch there
Just hope that the drive line is low enough if not its of to garys for a bit of tunnel fettleling
We'll see when i try it in there.
And i cant wait to hear these little babies..................
