Just a 6mm rod bent around the tank and fixed into the inner wing

Looking nice Andy each time i work on mine it takes a step backwards i now have a very bare engine bay and no wiring also decided i want to roll the shell over to remove lots of little brackets that are not required (weight is your enemy )but i have now got a start up map from sbd for the ecu and have mounted the drysump tank in a very diy way but have now removed everything from the bay so we can have another attempt at painting it as last time it ended up like sandtext never going to make the first rounds but have decided to do the bits i want to and take the atitude that it will be done when its done

And the best thing... using the same gauge steel as the boot floor, the new steel box actually weighed less that the heavier gauge alloy one .. allthough a lot of that may have been the fixing of the alloy one

Bit of an update from the last couple of Saturadys work.
Due to me not reading the rules properly we had tom replace the alloy box that my dad made to house the fuel pump swirl pot and filter with a welded steel one. so a trip to Retro's was the order of the day.
    The box being made

and some more piccies just for the sake of it

Spent Yesterday plumbing in the fuel system
    Engine bay finished

    Lines inside the car

    The offending box all finnished

    Jobs left to do:
    New wiring loom
finish plumbing in brakes and bleed
    mapping
    New diff
    Put in oils and fluids

    Then it ready to rumble
