Hi TIM GR
Hi guys.it was a very difficult couple of weeks after the crush at the portaria hillclimb.
Some guy in the car body bussiness told that the car was unrepairable and dangerous and there was no way and no time to make it to the other races of the season.
But two friends of mine Manos Kyritsis and Costas Catsikaros have other ideas. After a weeks very hard work pressing and bending metal ,we manage to meake the front wheels to look in the correct direction just to finish the season.
I hope to re-shell the car for next year, but for now it will stay as it is.
I had a strange race at the very poor organised tatoi airfield cirquit race.At the pole position race i had an electrical problem ,made only three laps and qualified 12th.
At the Sunday race i after a lot of crashes and passing everyone i could in front of me i was comfortably 3rd overall and 1st in class, but three laps before the end the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler blew and in the end i was 3rd in class.
Nick, well done to your friends for helping you finish the season.
Is a re-shell needed though, is the shell bent or is it just outer panels, and the front inner wing, as long as the geometry can be pulled into shape and with a new outer wing and wheel arch you'll be allright save the new shell for the really big crash.
And bravo if you dont crash sometimes, your not trying hard enough, and from your pictures and videos, you try very hard
Well after a lot of trial and error for now this how the setup is,
front toe in 2mm - camber 2,5 - castor 4,7.
rear toe in 2mm camber 2,2(which is wrong but the car is very low and i have to find a way to reduce the camber with out altering the ride height)
I think that the mk2 3door has the same suspension with the mk1.
