Well the list of things to do in a racing car never ends
,but for now we have to do some work on the electrics,check the brakes,new exhaust,wheel aligment,run in the engine,fit new e.c.u.,go to the dyno,tune the suspension,e.t.c e.t.c.........................
Hi at last after one and a half year of working on the car we went to race ,before this it was dyno setup time at PLEX TUNING ,on a Rototest dynamometer.The new engine with the big turbo is a beast ,it made 468 bhp at i,6 bar turbo pressure,but to be safe(the car had only 300km run in)we lowererd it to 400 bhp and 45 kg torque.It works with a ViPEC c.p.u. and direct ignition.The turbo suprisingly spools at 3200 rpm and the car behaves like a big cc atmo engine and the new 4.4cwp(was 4,8) reduses wheelspin and makes the car easier to drive.
At the race some teething problems (brocken fanbelt on sarurday practice and a broken gear lever on the first leg of the race) and the lack of driving the car -from the dyno tothe staring line in one day-didnt let me do anything better than a fourth in class.Anyway the car has very huge potential and the driver need some time and much practice to drive fast again
