Here is the engine installed in the car

and here is the cockpit showing the gearstick etc

If you have sharp eyes you can see the readout for the gearchange and just see the extra lever (on the gearstick) which you have to pull to select neutral or reverse.......I got this off a pushbike...it cost £4 brand new....we have two cables going back to the transaxle now.

        Re: Moggy's Darrian T9

Anyway Blue Boy is nearly finished now...has his RAC logbook and just needs the engine finally mapping

ony problem we have now is that my navigator Max has finally hung up his crash helmet and taken up Golf ! Which I am gutted about as he was always brilliant and stopped me going into the scenery too often...which used to be a bit of a problem in my younger days

So I am on the lookout for someone keen, capable and slim enough to fit in a Darrian.....

Right off to do a bit now.

Love Darrian's, my mum is an accomplished darrian navigator and is about 7 stone wearing every piece of clothing she owns.

Is navigating at Pembrey today in a darrian with Richard Merriman but crashed on 1st stage!!

I hope you have better luck with yours as it's a beauty

                Re: Moggy's Darrian T9

Getting ready for testing.....had just drained some water to put more anti freeze in, hence why Blue Boy loks like he has wet himself.

You can see it is quite cozy in there to say the least. Funnily enough when the car is on the ground it is very easy to get in and out of but when its up in the air.....you just have to sort of 'fall' out, and there is no way to make that look 'cool'......having said that I guess being a lanky git doesn't help much.

                    Thanks Matt

That's a bummer about Pembrey, I heard it was sheet ice on the first stage then heavy rain after. Hope the bathtub and it's occupants wern't too badly damaged?

If your Mum fancys a run in our little nipper...we are on the lookout.

                    Rich.

Thanks Ant. hope you are right,....we will see. Once the car has done a few events and all the teething troubles are sorted, we will go for a phase 2 motor...steel rods, forged pistons and bigger cams...see if we can get closer to the magic 200bhp.

                      Rich.

                                Cheers for the support

We are taking the car for a little test on Sunday (weather permitting)...Dave is taking some of the wheels tomorrow to fit some other tyres....all the rims are currently fitted with Dunlop moulded slicks/wets and it seams a shame to damage any just testing.

I have some Maxsports...which will be way way way too hard for this car (any car?), but OK for a bit of a first test.

Really looking forward to giving it a good run, just hope it's dry and no snow or ice.

Few little jobs to do on Thursday night...

                                refit doors
                                bleed brakes (again)
                                bleed clutch (AGAIN!)
refit passenger side dash (couple of clips)
