The governing body would welcome a 16 litre engine even less than the bike engine we started with (if that's possible) so we decided to go a different route and are now well on with the development of our new 2 litre Shawspeed Duratec....(actually we are building two if anyone wants to buy one).
We needed a very late 'high port' engine to get the best results and these were a bit difficult to get hold of so we ended up buying a brand new engine to use as a doner >

dry sump (rather sexy if I say so myself) >

New bellhousing (one on the left) and clutch slave mountings so that the Elite can be nailed (we're right technical engineers up North) onto the back of Jon's Duratec >
