Here is my Mk2 Racecar.
Thats a picture of the first year we drive it

It´s a original 1300 shell. We weld a rollcage in, worked al little bit on the suspension and make a engine at home. This ist how we drive the first year.
The second winter we striped it down fitted a sierra 5 speed gearbox. Switched the axle from köln (i think atlas is the english name) to Banjo with a 4.44 transmission with a ZF spool . We also get some GFK Parts.
In the first race this year one Valve decided to chop off and the engine broke down. Everything was broken down piston head zylinder.
So we get a new 1300 Engine Build by a small german engine Builder. The Engine got a new Exhaust Manifold, Fully build hat with combustion chamber in the had an flat pistons. light flywhell, other clutch (AP)......
On the Ignition Side we fitted a Van Kronenbourg programmable Ingnition System.
Thats how we race at the moment. Its a little bit hard to race with the Escort because the VW polos are lighter an had more engine power.
to reduce the distance between us an the polo´s or fiat´s i´m going to build a throttle bodie conversion http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...die-Conversion
and searche for a new 2door shell, but it is nearly impossible to get a good shell or car in germany to build up a new racecar.

I thank for all tip´s about doing stuff on the car, or to get parts. Like i say it´s very hard to get information and good parts in germany.
