    does it touch at all ??? the rockor post looks to be to far out in conjuction with the hole in the 1st and 2nd pic

      tolerances on rockers and posts and valve height etc etc can cause pushrods to touch, two options, relieve the head a bit or swap rockers and posts to try find a combo which doesnt touch

        yes we took the pushrods out and you can see on the rods where the scratch the head. we try to get it fixed tomorrow.

          We changed the rods in the engine and now it´s really close but it don´t scratch.
          The engine builder told use we can drive with that if the engine brake down it´s his fault and he gonna repair it.

          Another little problem we had: the engine starts up bad when it´s cold. And sometimes he cut´s out while running in low rev´s. So we talked to the guy who sold the ignition system and he told use to try vw spareplugs with resistor. And now the car starts up perfect. So on Saturday we are going to do a road test to check out the pedalbox and stuff.

            Test was very good the car run well brakes and the other stuff worked perfect. Now we can go to the dyno and get carbs and the ignition adjusted.

              Yesterday we took the Escort on the trailer and went off to the kart circuit in Walldorf to drive our first race this year. We had a good start nice warm weather the car was in good condition. We had 5 opponent in our class: 1 Audi 50, 1 Wartburg, 1 Renault Alpine A110 and 2 Polo 86c. My Dad started his Training round doesn´t look to bad from the outside. As he cam to the padock he said we don´t have enough grip. So I set off the my first training. I tried to drive the car like last year but the new suspension set up changed the car´s handling. In one double right corner I nearly laid the car on the side. The rear wheel lifted in the first corner and in the second i was to close to the Courb (don´t know the real english word) so the front lifted too, I don´t get it what happend and put the pedal on the floor. The Escort come back on it´s wheels while we spin over the following strait i was pretty close to in the car. I drive my run and gave the car to my dad for his first real run. I told him that I think the brakes aren´t good. To he started and in one corned he was late on the brakes:

              This was our first ride out with damage in 4 Years. It looked more worse as he cam back we pulled out the wing with our hands.
              We both finished our run´s and saw that the Audi 50 and the Wartburg couldn´t finish. So we waited for the award ceremony. My Dad was on 3 and I had won the class

              Changes for the next race will be adjust the Bias new and maybe new Brake pads like Ferodo 2500.

                After sorting out some problems we hab 2 race in the last few weeks.
                First one was on a karting circuit again. I finished on the 3 Place from 6.
                At the second one i finished at the 2 place of 7.
                The season doesn´t look to bad I´m waiting for the overall result but I should be somewhere about the 5 place from 67 starter.

                The car run very well. We fixed the water problem.
                Now we have a summer brake if everything works like I wan´t we could drive the THB i made ( http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...die-Conversion )

                  Today we drove our last race this year. The Season endet quit good we endet in the top 20 in the overal result of our Trophy.
                  The last race didn´t end very well. We lost the trigger wheel http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...-Trigger-Wheel
                  But it was only a fun race to test things out. We tested some Tyres and worked on the tyrepressure.
                  Now we can start the Winterwork:
                  -build up the new shell (will be the biggest part)
                  -check the complete engine/ gearbox/ axle

                    As we won´t get the new shell finished to the first race we fixed the old car. Main think was some small shell repair and check the engine. We took in parts and managed to get the self made manifold on the head and make that work.

                    We mounted the fueltank from the new shell, Pulled in new fuel lines, and mounted a front suspension system from GRP4Fabrications.
                    Next thing will be get the engine back in, mount the 4 speed Rocket gear box, and get the fuel injection running.

                          i could take a look but I think I don´t have pics. But I looks like the other Chambered Head´s that you found here if you search.

                          I got the car running on the Throttle Bodie Conversion if done today. Next week dyno to set it up and ready for the first race.

                            Nothing posted for a while but the season is running. At the moment we are on Place 16 and 19 from 61 starters in our Cup.
                            The things we made over the winter worked out very well. We have a straight cup 4 Speed gearbox, the throttlebodie build and some other stuff around.
                            We are getting very close to the Polo´s and still have 70 kg more weight in the car. The gap is about 1 to 2 seconds.
                            The last race we drove was a German Masters South race.
