that and people simply putting a bolt through seat belt webbing or similar which simply rips the fabric, ive also seen quite a lot of fittings which wont stand a stiff pull when a cars beached in gravel, a tow strap breaking could cause someone serious injury the way ropes can whip when suddenly let loose after being in tension

There will be a few injuries caused by frayed cables thats for sure. Hope they come with kevlar gloves. I'm guessing tweeks etc will be selling the new type as no one will have them fitted yet. Seems a strange move

All strapped in nice and tight. Eyebolts at the front also clamp down the ally base and one of the rears doubles up as diff hanger bolt through the bracing. Next to bolt down the swirl pot and pumps, and finish plumbing it all in..

Does the tank come with the straps or is it your idea....i think its a very cool way of doing it.....cheers mark

Cheers. I had straps already so just used some M8 eyebolts for the floor and welded up some long M10 eyebolts for behind the tank as they go through the diff xmember, in fact one also acts as a diff mounting bolt going through the brace that Graham made.
It will be easy to make metal straps later if required but I prefer this method as its very tight without harming the tank.

Been a tough couple of months but I'm finally getting time (not much) on the cossie again.

Am upgrading the front suspension, adjustable TCAs, comp struts and forward anti roll bar etc and these turned up today;

New comp brake top mounts. Fit beautifully and I know the adjustment isnt as great as some but I will have other means of adjustment too.

Also got the car outside and gave it a good wash and started flatting down some of the panels just with 1000 & 800 grit wet and dry and soapy water. There are a few dents that will come out easily and I'll try to get the adhesive off this week from the black mouldings.

Overall im pretty happy with it so far and its mainly the sunroof and a bit of arch stretching to do and then into paint hopefully

Compression struts on, not adjusted up yet. Gonna do a basic alignment tomorrow.



Next is the front mounted ARB which should arrive tomorrow
